Dr. Benjamin J. Gubernick was born in Boston and moved to Florida with his family when he was six months old. Raised in Palm City, he proudly considers himself a Florida native. From an early age, he was drawn to dentistry because of its unique combination of science, precision, artistry, and the ability to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Today, Dr. Gubernick is proud to serve the Tampa community at Flex Dental. He takes time to listen to each patient’s goals and develop personalized treatment plans that support oral health, confidence, and overall well-being.
Clinical experience and treatment philosophy
Dr. Gubernick enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry and has extensive experience performing a wide variety of procedures. His clinical expertise includes restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign® clear aligner therapy, endodontic treatment, oral surgery, and preventive care.
He believes in remaining at the forefront of modern dentistry through continuing education, allowing him to provide current techniques and technology while maintaining a personal, patient-centered approach.
Professional memberships and community service
Dr. Gubernick is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is dedicated to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and giving back to the community.
He has also volunteered his time providing dental care through the St. Pete Free Clinic.
Family and life outside the office
Outside the office, Dr. Gubernick has been happily married to his wife, Becky, for seven years. Becky is an Academic Advisor at the University of South Florida. Together they have two energetic sons, Jacob and Jason, as well as their lovable Goldendoodle, Griffin.
Family is at the center of Dr. Gubernick’s life. He enjoys supporting his sons’ athletic activities, discovering new restaurants, traveling, staying active, and making lasting memories with friends and loved ones.
